HK Day 3 : Sham Shui Po again!

Continue cerita Sham Shui Po (Part 1)
Hari ke-3 di HK, pujuk husband utk repeat ke Sham Shui Po selepas keterujuaan sy melihat lace border & craft item kat situ.
Kalo ikut kan hari ke-3 sepatutnya kami menyeberang naik feri ke Hong Kong Island.
Tapi disebabkan tak puas explore Sham Shui Po pada hari pertama, sy pujuk hubby utk repeat once again!

Street kat situ semuanya bertema. Ade button street, ribbon street, bead street. Toy street pun ade mmg sepanjang jalan tu jual mainan jer la. Kalo korg minat craft mmg kat sini la tempatnya. Memang rambang mata. Rasa nak nangis pun ader tgk semuanya!

“Bead Street”, “Button Street”, “Ribbon Street” (crafts and more)

Bead Street : Yu Chau Street which has the most bead shops is the 100-200 block.
Buttons Street : Ki Lung Street
Ribbon Street : Nam Cheong Street is full of ribbon rolls stacked row upon row, in every colour, shape and size imaginable.
Fabric Sellers : Wong Chuk Street

“Fashion Street” – Cheung Sha Wan Road
In the heart of Sham Shui Po lies “Fashion Street,” a collection of wholesale fashion outlet stores, many of which also sell retail. Shop after shop of the trendiest clothing is on sale here and young girls in particular will be interested in the styles. Bear in mind though that these stores are mostly for grown-up women. However, older girls will find something to fit them in the smaller sizes. Most of the shops are located on Cheung Sha Wan Road between Yen Chow Street and Wong Chuk Street.

“Toy Street” – Fuk Wing Street
This “street” is only one block long but it is a great place to buy toys and other fun kiddie items such as erasers, pens, notebooks, gift bags, stuffed toys, mini games, whistles, balls, stickers, etc. If you are a planning a kid’s birthday party, this makes for great one-stop shopping and it’s extremely inexpensive as well, especially if you are buying in bulk.

Sepanjang jalan sy tgk sample of fabrics ni. Mana tak giler meroyan aku. Segala corak  & pattern ader. Tapi sebab dah rambang mata. Sy balik tanpa membeli seurat benang pun! Sebenarnya kna beli minumum 5 yard. Balik umah bila cerita kat mak, mak kata lebih kurg la nak wat baju sepasang 5 yard tu. Org dulu2 jer yg guna yard. Org skrg yerla guna meter. Nak menyesal pun tak berguna.

1 Yard = 0.9144 Meter
5 Yard = 4.572 Meter
Lagipun diorg tu mcm tak layan jer bila aku tengok2. Kebanyakkan utk wholesale agaknya. Masalah bahasa pun satu hal jgak. Last skali husband aku cakap melayu jer. Aku mmg dh gelak2 bila sorg cakap china, sorg ckp melayu.

Sy ade baca tentang cara pembelian fabric di sini, kita just amik sample kain yg kita minta. And cakap nak berapa yard, diorg akan pg amik. Sampai arini sgt terkilan tak dapat beli. huhu.

Fabrics di jalanan....
Felt Fabric
Border lace turut menjadi kegilaan. Rambang mata. segala corak & pattern ader. Harga sgt murah.Sy plak jenis suka tgk2 & jalan2 dulu baru beli. Last skali hubby kata beli jer kalo dh nak. Nasib dptla beli jgak walaupun tak banyak. Ukuran guna yard...

Ade jgak border lace ni jual di tepi2 jalan2. auntie tu sgt peramah even tak pandai berbahasa inggeris. Rasa terkilan jgak bila mak kata apesal skit nyer ko beli? huhu.

Lepas tgk lace....jalan plak ke ribbon street! rasa nak jerit bila tgk colourful ribbon sepanjang jalan. Segala pattern & size ade. Rasa nak borong 1 kedai. Tapi sebenarnya dalam hati ini sy pikir jgak, nak wat ape plakkan? tapi nak beli jgak sebab comel2 semuanya. Nasibla boleh beli ckit2.

Cukupla setakat itu walaupun bead street & button street tak jumpa. Hubby dah start tanya bila nak abis. Singgah di sebuah kedai yg ade jual2 mcm2 barang craft. Suka sgt kedai ni. Tak borong byk pun, tapi cukupla memuaskan kehendak diri. Alhamdulillah....

Selepas dh rasa puas hati walaupun dalam hati kalo bleh nak round lagi. Round and round lalu kat  “Fashion Street” – Cheung Sha Wan Road. Tapi wholesale only. Kalo tgk baju kat sepanjang jalan ni semuanya ade di butik2 kat kl and online boutique, rupanya amik kat sini agaknya. mmg bajunyer lawa2 especially utk yg fashionista bolehla borong kat sini. Rasanya harga jauh lebih murah.

Lepas tu sesaje tgk barang computer plak di Golden Computer Arcade. Jual barang computer mcm kat pasar malam jer. Yg teruja colourful tu. Sgt murah! Pendrive pun murah. cuma quality blom tahu lagi sejauh mana...

Golden Computer Arcade and Golden Shopping Centre
The kids are going to love this place! This arcade is filled with shops that specialize in the sale of software, hardware, and all manner of accessories related to computers. This is a hot spot for local ‘techies’ and the prices are very competitive. Bargaining is a must and make sure to check out all the goods you are considering buying to be sure that they are exactly the make you are looking for. Be aware – pirated software, though illegal in Hong Kong, is still sold in some stores. This shoppingplaza is located at the crossroads of Fuk Wa Street and Kweilin Street.

Jalan2 menuju ke MTR station jumpa plak street mcm pasar malam ni. Kat HK mmg byk street mcm ni rasanya. So far kat sini murah ckit. Lupa nama street ni ape. Kna pandai menawar la kat sini. Barang2 nyer pun ade yg berquality. Kna pandai tgkla kan. Ade jgak peniaga yg berlagak, kalo kita tawar2 harga pastu dia tak nak bagi, dia soh kta bla dari situ. Geram!

Sham Shui Po is wajib pergi jika ke HK lagi. Even shopping (bukan branded) lebih byk choice di sini compare to ladies market. T-shirt HK pun ade di sini.

Lama jgak kami di Sham Shui Po ni. Plan asalnya by lunch dh ke Hong Kong Island. Last  skali jam 2 jgak baru abis kat sini. Kami sempat singgah di hotel dulu utk solat & letak segala barang2 yg dibeli. Sempat mandikan cik merah skali.
